Friend of mine is down after a car pulled out on her on a training ride in Warwickshire.

Thank you to my guardian angel who, for some reason, keeps looking after me.

I was hit by a car this morning, did a "flying squirrel" somersaulting over it, landed on the road upside down yet relatively unscathed (cuts, bruises & bashed shoulder). Apparently ambulance man said my physical fitness probably helped to keep me in one piece on landing...and my helmet.

Dotty the bike is sadly no more though. Should be able to claim on the woman's insurance as was blatantly her fault as she crossed a give way line to drive straight into me.

Cried when I realised Dotty was broken! You have been a great bike, Dotty, and I will miss you.

Now need to find something to ride 100 miles on next weekend....and I only did 20 this morning which should have been 50! Grrr!

Have advised her to seek the usual medical attention etc...

As an aside, if anyone near Banbury has a smallish TT bike available for loan next weekend then my friend would be most grateful.
