Dolan Pre Cursa has a hole in the bridge?

Posted on
  • Upon setting up my new PC direct from Dolan, I noticed a 5mm hole drilled into the topside of the bridge o_O?
Is this normal, should I query it? also it doesn't go all the way through.

  • It's fine. I imagine its a gas outlet.

  • thanks Chak, thats a relief! one question, what happens if I wanted to drill the bridge for a brake, do you reckon it'd be unadvisable given that it already has a hole partway through?

  • Mine has a hole in the same place. I also drilled mine for a brake and no adverse affects have been seen yet but I can't say what the long term affects are.

  • There is also a hole in the underside I believe on the opposite side of the bridge.

I drilled a dolan bridge and used it for polo (rear brake only) for ages, no problems at all.

  • Check the Dolan thread. If I remember right, there was someone who posted a step by step how to with a hand drill.

  • thanks all :) mind totally at ease now..just didn't want any ball-ache explaining things when it comes to selling down the line (if i sell!)
@ salmonchild - you're right, there is indeed a hole on the opposite side of the bridge, how'd i miss that..?!
@ Chak - ill check it out man thanks

  • nice one again Vince :] havent got that drill guide but reckon i could hit the spot with a right angle drill
