Crashed at 50mph on a bend going down the Passo Campolongo and got T boned outside my local Halfords on the way into Wokingham.
Only 2 times in 5 years but both times were somewhat serious.
But apart from that... -

So far, riding on the road (3 or 4 years?) I've come off twice, once while trying to grab a bottle from a mate at very low speed, and once at 20mph (according to Garmin) turning onto some gravel on my street.
Off road, rather more regularly. When I used to ride BMX I crashed a fair bit I seem to remember.

If I don't crash I think there is something wrong

One time each year, so far I have been hit twice by cars in two years.

I only count a 'crash' if you actually end up in hospital or damage your bike.
Average about twice a year.
However Im not a real rider yet. -

Three times in 8 years...
1st time got left hooked by a driver who decided to mount the pavement to drop off his passenger. 0 bike damage. 0 injuries. Laptopin my bag written off
2nd time got run/pinched off the road on OKR and into the back of a parked car. Cuts and bruises, wrote off a steel frame.
3rd time... Forward dismount at speed while off roading. Hospitalised for a good while.First two were confidence building really. Lead to a better understanding of risk and ramifications. 3rd was just sheer misfortune.
Actually, I did hit the deck on ice pretty badly once an all. So 4 in 8 years.
Biannually. -

I used to crash every couple months. Always same issue: front wheel loosing grip when turning.
Then I changed that rubbish Randonneur for a Durano and I haven´t crashed since then.

Yeah Rubinos can get to fuck too.
Twice in as many weeks last November. 2nd one threw my confidence big time. If I'm honest I'd happily trade pace for knowing I'd never bin it again...
...If I had any pace.

Never had a road collision, toppled over drunk a fair few times, skidded over whilst drunk once and fall off multiple times a week at polo plus various other falls on other silly bikes.

Had 1 crash about 10 years ago, got car doored passing pizza express in streatham. Extremely lucky, I think maybe some avoided near misses I can put down to skill but really it's all luck.

Depends on how long Firefox has been running and the content of the browser tabs. Hard to say really.

Well this is a cheery thread :)
umop3pisdn - I'm glad you've not had a crash yet. Long may it stay that way!

Only one "proper" crash in my 8 years riding on the road. By proper I mean completely off the bike, another vehicle involved etc. But every 6 months or so I'd fall of trying to do something silly as one would expect or have a minor bump with a car.

I crash whenever I try to ride safely.
-

Hit by two cars / drivers not paying attention in the space of six months, dropped the road bike a couple of times, CX bike has hit the deck more times than I can remember, MTB not so much - obviously not trying hard enough

the only time i ever use the services of the NHS is after crashing
if it wasn't for bikes i wouldn't have visited any kind of doctor at all in the last 30 years
A chat with a currently rather bruised clubmate made me realise that I've never had a crash on the road.
By crash, I mean coming off at any speed above 5mph (so no spd moments). Am I lucky? Have I jinxed myself now?
How often do you crash?
