For Sale: Small Ladies Pink Mixte Bike, 1990 Gitane Faubourg 650 - 51cm, Mudguards, Dynamo

~~ I have a small 1990 Gitane Faubourg 650 for sale. 650 stands for the smaller 650B which means the bike sits lower than one on standard 700C wheels.

It will fit a lucky lady around 5ft to 5ft5 (153cm to 165cm).

I have recently re-commissioned it so fully serviced & ready to go.

Degrease/clean/regrease all bearings (headset/Bottom Bracket/wheels bearings) and chain. New tyres and tubes, new grips.

Frame: 51cm seat tube, 53cm projected top tube . 'Superlite' tubing so pretty light for the time. Rear rack, full mudguards, fully operational dynamo. Quill seatpost (moves freely) with comfortable saddle. Awesome Pink to Purple fade and minimal scuffs. Comes with the original frame fit pump.
Handlebars: 46cm swept back bars (chromed steel), 50mm quill stem (moves freely), new grips, chromes steel levers.
Brakes: Good pads & cables - front and back
*Wheels: *Rigida Superchromix 36h steel rims on nutted hubs so less risk (than a quick release) of getting them nicked. The wheels are true and I have serviced the bearings. New 650x35B gumwall tyres, which I have overinflated so some small hairline crack on the walls.
Gears: 46T standard square taper cranks with chainguard, re-greased bottom bracket bearings, 3 speed freewheel 14t-28t, Sach-Huret rear derailleur & downtube shifter. Chain is near new condition.

The bike is kept at my flat at the top of Brixton Hill but I work in Putney so I can bring it into work so you can come and take it for a spin!

It is about 12kg all in. The frame will take 700c wheels is you remove the mudguards.

Great little bike, awesome pink/purple fade paint job. It can easily be turned into a singlespeed if desired as the chainline won't be greatly affected.
