NoQ only go up to 52t
You can buy 'em directly from Rotor.
They're both good enough that you won't notice the difference.

I've found them up to 56t on a site called bike24 or as you said direct from rotor I was wondering if any uk shops did them or if I could get a bargain !
-
• #4
I hope you do time trials
-
• #6
I would trust rotor over bike24.
Nothing wrong with big rings, per-say
-
• #7
Omg what is that???? ^^^

Nope it's more a style and to push myself a little . I'm on 48:13 And I'd like to get a bit faster, plus noq and Zens look perdy dam sick

I have a 54zen literally brand new, if your interested, might be for sellz?

Hahah, you're going to ride 55:13?
-
• #11
48:13 is also quite ridiculous..
-
• #12
Noo. 55:15 to start as that is the equivalent , I get on fine with 48:13 it's a little hard on up hills but everywhere else it works well where I live
-
• #13
absolutely fine if you're only ever going downhill / only ride a velodrome
absolutely ridiculous on the street, and that's coming from someone on 80+ GI

Where I live it's quite flat and open road so no real issues with traffic ,hills ect
-
• #16
It's not about that.. here in the Netherlands it's also as flat as a pancake.. still we don't ride ridiculous ratio's (although, some do, not me). 48-13 is just ridiculous, no training at all if you ride your bike + you ruin your knees..
-
• #17
Yer I suppose your right ,I've never had any issues with my knees. So I've never thought about it .i just get out and ride maybe a 55:18 would be more optional if it means no knee damage
-
• #18
I think 48x13 sounds perfectly reasonable.
:)
-
• #19
or 50:18? Maybe even 48:18

I'd have guessed 48x13 was the higher of the two gears but I've just stuck it in a gear calc.....
They're both just below 100 gear inches.
-
• #22
55:18 is a decent gear - especially with no hills.
I run that for mooching around London and training, 100rpm is exactly 40kph

I'm looking for a new 55t chainring (144bcd) But what's the better one a sugino zen or a rotor noq ?
I can get a zen for £90 on Dolan bikes, can't seem to find a uk site selling noq chainrings ? Or does that tell me something ?
Cheers
