If you need to ask, you need to visit a bike shop.

Are you sure you mounted your chain the correct way?
If it worked before the clean, then you're doing something wrong. Look for some guide, usually Park Tool have nice videos. -

The chain might be the wrong way round?
Jesus wept.
If this kind of thing is beyond you, goto a bike shop or make friend with a local knowledgeable person and pay them in beer/weed/sexual favours to come round and give you some spannering lessons.

Take the chain off and wheel out. Grab hold of the cage and rotate it anti-clockwise about 3/4 of a turn (as seen from the right) before replacing the chain This will put the spring into the correct tension.
I have the same mech and once did the same as you, before working out what I did wrong.

.Errm, that's what I meant to say. The correct way installed through the jockey wheels.

Did you get this sorted?

Hey, yeah got it sorted in the end. While cleaning the mech i must of rotated it a full turn, so the spring was loose, i rotated a full turn anti clockwise and now everything is great. New chain isn't even skipping.
Thanks for the help!
Will put up pictures of the bike in current projects thread soon.
I recently cleaned out my rear derailleur, after replacing the chain the lower 'arm' of the derailleur isn't tight, seems like its lacking some spring tension.
Which bolt do I need to tighten to get it correct?
Also the chain seems to be skipping, whenever I moderately push on the pedals while pedalling
I've attached a picture to better explain my problem...
Its a Campagnolo Athena triple, if it matters.
