Thanks EPR, I reckon it looks pretty sweet with Shamals and C-Record. Fought with Dura Ace 7710 for a while, but seems it was it destiny.
On that, I would entertain the idea of selling the rest of the C-Record parts if buyer of the frame was keen to keep it as is. It's only a pair of pedals cages away from finished. I have NOS C-Record straps, but needed large clips, which seems are a bit harder to find than mediums. -

Tis true, on the table is a well loved nagasawa clad with suntour superbe pro. Sounds like a good combination to me!
Weary about the frames fit, but it's amazing how tolerances shift when frames get nicer. This is the other (top) end of the beauty chart from the Merckx, but equally pleasing and unpractical. Can't wait to try it.

Hi All,
Had this up for potential trade, but seems like my next project will be a cash deal, rather than swapsies. So, up for sale my Eddy Merckx "Corsa Extra" Pursuit Track frameset
The Frame is in Cornwall, but I am happy to safely pack and post at cost.
60cm (c-t-c) seat tube and top tube, so essentially rides like a 58cm square.
700c rear/650c front
120mm/100mm spacing
Columbus SLX Tubing
fitted with c-record headset and sugino seatpin bolt
not drilled for brake
All the usual fancy details of a Corsa Extra and without doubt the nicest frame I've owned. I've not seen anything to match its beauty, or its almost sensible geometrey (in lo-pro world) but sadly it is just too small for me.
Its fast and being SLX rides/handles like a dream.
I'd love it to find a home here, but realise I might be better asking top dollar elsewhere. Anyway, before I get my shit together, offered up here for the following...
Looking for £850 for the Frameset, C-Record headset, Sugino seatpin bolt, one of the "Merckx" panto'd stems and bar combo.
An additional £150 to the above gets you,
2 x 650c front shamals (one tub, one clincher)
Tyres (veloflex record tub and conti clincher) included
The additional "merckx" panto'd stem and bars for easy swapping between bulls and risers.
There's a brand new Campag Record Pista Bottom Bracket just fitted, which can be included at extra cost
I'll only sell parts off when the frame has found a home.

btw - I'd still be interested in a trade/px for a decent lightweight tourer along the lines of an Indy Fab Club Racer, Enigma Etape, Roberts Audax/Sportif, etc..in a 60cm+ flavour.
