Just as a reference, I paid for my Carlton Continental full bike on eBay for £75. I had to change only the tyres.
Considering the cost of a re-spray, MIGHT be you could lower it a bit?
Also consider Retrobike is doesn't sell here.As you said, albeit not 531, Tru-wel still rides great and I can see that whenever I pick mine (which I plan to bring to L'Eroica Britannia as well!)
I like that your forks still have the 'plug' (?) for the dinamo lamp! Mine has been cut away :(

Yes, I might lower it a bit, that's the thing, it's easier for prices to go down rather than up.
As for the things I'd throw in for free, there's a battered rear wheel and Huret Svelto derailleur from another Carlton (both need a little bit of work), a cheapish 46t crankset, and I might have the lamp bracket somewhere too.
There's also some Cinelli bars and stem that I would sell for £25 with the bike.

**Price drop. £50.
£65 shipped.

For sale, my 1979 Carlton Grand Prix frame. I bought this with the intention of building it up into a single-speed after having it refinished, but it's actually a touch too big for me, and not quite the caliber of frame I want to put my best components on.
I'm going to be honest, the frame is rather tatty in appearance, but it's straight and true, with no damage. It would make an excellent beater/winter frame as is, or you could get it resprayed (I bought some decals with the intention of doing this). It's Carlton's tru-wel tubing, so although not quite as light as 531, it's not a heavy frame.
Included in this sale:
Frame and forks
Headset (the original?)
25.4mm seatpost and bolt (if you want it, and I have a choice of two lengths of post)
Carlton block letter decals (again, if you want them, I'll knock £5 off if you don't)
I also have some other parts available that would fit this bike, that I'd be willing to throw in (mostly for slight cost) if the buyer wanted.
£60
(or £75 shipped)
Ask any questions if you want! Let me know if this is unreasonable! Pictures coming ASAP.
