Single speed suggestions with eyelets for rack and mudguard

Hi, I am looking for a single speed bike that comes with eyelets for mudguards and a rack. I know I can attach them using other alternatives, but comments in other posts suggest this is not ideal.
I'm used to cycling to work with a rucksack on my back, but this gets sweaty and, unfortunately, my new job doesn't provide showers. Think a pannier is the only option.

Any suggestions? I need a 60cm or 61cm frame. I'd prefer to buy a bike that's already built, but could be persuaded to build one if there was a frame around.

I'd also like a steel frame, if possible.

So far, looks like my only option is a Day One. Any other suggestions??

He settled on a Person Touché (his build thread).

I'd definitely look at Person. Also IIRC Dawes and Ridgeback did a very good practical SS with all the bosses. The Dawes was called Mono. Maybe have a look for second hand ones.

How much are you looking to carry? A big saddlebag (Carradice or whatever) could be an alternative to a rack.

Pompino. I'm biased though.

It might be a bit hard to get in England, but a Kilo TT ticks all the boxes.

Surly Cross Check, not SS-specific, has wider rear spacing, but has everything else you want. Though brakes are Vs or cantis only, can't take road calipers.

Surly Cross-Check can be set up SS, as can an All-City Space Horse. Mo' money, but mo' bike.

Thanks DHD. It's a nice bike, but am a bit concerned about the 57cm frame. I'm 6' 3" and had a 57cm Kona PHD in the past, which was definitely too small. I currently have a 60cm Trek Alpha, which is just the right height.

I wont be carrying too much, just a light change of clothes. I'm thought saddlebags were only big enough to carry a few tools. I'll have a look into it.... thanks!

Just had a quick look into Carradice, and this will definitely suit my purpose (to carry a change of shirt/trousers and perhaps some shoes). Can they basically go on any bike? I was looking at the Paddy Wagon before I realised it didn't have eyelets for a rack...

Check out Carradice saddlebags, something like the modern-shaped one in the Super C range ... QR mount attaches to seatpost - no need for particular saddle with loops.

It attaches directly to the seatpost. Potentially may be an issue with a carbon seatpost (no-one seems willing to try it). If you're 6' odd you'll have no problem with clearance.

I think I said in that thread that while the frame size is stated as 57cm,this is the top tube length c-c. The seat tube actually measures 60cm c-t, so this would be the same size as your Trek Alpha, therefore perfect for you!
