haha truth but about 20-30k of it has been resurfaced recently. I know this because the last TNRC deluxe featured about 20-30k of 'gravel racing'.

Note this ride is not affiliated with the now defunct TNRC however you might notice a distinct similarity to TNRC due to my own group of friends on this here forum :)

Gah.
Would love to, but Hats is running the marathon on the 13th and I'll be riding alongside with a chilled beer (for me not her) so for that reason WE'RE OUT.
Unless rearranging occurs....

I'm happy to rearrange for another weekend if it doesn't suit some. I was thinking the weekend before the IoW too (26th/27th) I think. If others are keen then I'm easy (and I can change the dates)
ooo you mucky bugger

Not in this country.
There was one stretch of mint 400 yards yesterday.

Can I go in the social pace group on gears? I think I'll still be broken from the marathon.

Spring is here and with it thoughts of hazy days, running over fine blacktop.
Will it include that lane where we got 3 punctures within 200 yards one of which resulted in you having to ride 80 odd mile with an emergency tyre boot?

I must have riding into the gravel around that whilst in shock. Probably thought it was a mirage or quicksand or something.

haha I might avoid that one but I've also invested in some armour plated tires for the likes of that particular lane:

So I'm hearing that this particular weekend might not work out, what do people say to 26th, one week before the IoW (if you're not on that then sign yourself up to my camping bonanza)?

13th is unlikely to work out for me (FA Cup semi final weekend), the 26th is a better bet.

great ride but April is a no go for me in general, footy and the far east in the way!

right I'm closing this one down in favour of http://www.lfgss.com/thread123480.html#post4125713
Spring is here and with it thoughts of hazy days, running over fine blacktop with friends old and new. So what better than 100 or so km's through the country's finest en route to the rooftop pool and BBQ combo that awaits you in Bath Spa?
Plan: Two rides, those on gears or faster pace and those on FG/SS or social pace. The Trafalgar group will leave a little earlier (circa 8.30) in order to catch the Farnborough group (leaving about 9-9.30) somewhere the closing k's. Lunchstops and such details to be arranged later but a traditional Thermae Spa followed by a BBQ back at my gaff for anyone who's interested.
Costs: If we're enough then I can book the private pool for £120 for a maximum of 12 people i.e £10 each otherwise it's £25 for two hours, trains home are circa £30 super off peak single but group saves are available taking that down to about £15.
List
Start point 1: Farnborough Station (12-14mph)

2.
3.
4.
5.
Start point 2: Trafalgar Square (16-18mph)
