To stop me from constantly bumping my sales thread, if you're after 400mm a-c then some cyclocross forks are around that length.

• #6
how do you reckon they'd work on this
would the handling be atrocious ? -

It's just occured to me that those crosscheck forks are for 700c & rim brakes :-/
I was thinking of discs, where it doesn't matter.

Are those ^^ forks 400mm before they're compressed?
-
• #9
they are seized at 400mm .. it was a street find so i just measured the current a-c as it sits
they would be fine i'm sure but the pin onto which you screw the v brake is loose and won't fix into the fork thus rendering it useless ... if it wasn't already -

I've used this ebay seller several times without any problems. Might be a good place to look for beater forks?

found these 1cm longer than ideal but should work
Hi ,
Am after basic mtb forks with 1 1/8th steerer and an axle to crown measurement of 160mm. Rigid prefered.
Or if you could point me in the direction of something cheap from the shops that would be great.
