Send it back surely: "not as described".

Too late sadly :( I won this back in November and I'm just now building up the frame. Didn't look close enough at the taper or length when it arrived -- I just assumed it was what I had paid for.
I saw someone else list a Phil BB on here earlier this week and someone commented on the taper which spurred me to check mine out. Saw the taper on mine was JIS and not ISO as listed, and then I measured it and it was 108mm and not 110.5mm as listed. Double burn! eBay is getting worse and worse.

That happened to me on here....the seller gave me no comeback.....caveat emptor!

Part of me wants to believe the seller actually thought what he had was a 110mm ISO BB, but was in error.
If someone is on the fence about whether or not the specs according to ME are accurate, I'll go get a picture of the BB measured with a vernier caliper. I think the above pic show it's JIS pretty clearly.

Is this your way of making an offer?
JT is selling his for a great price -- good for him. By all means, bring your business his way. I dropped just shy of $200CAD for a new BB without cups and a single tool from Phil. $82CAD seems reasonable to me.

Maybe he's telling you to buy that one as it's closer to what you wanted?

Keep your BB - Just use your ISO cranks on the JIS 108mm BB
They will sit about 4mm further out - giving you the same chain line as a 112mm ISO BB.
It works fine btw

Anidel: ah, good point. Well, my apologies if that was the case and thanks for the tip zatchmo. Drunk foruming ftw :)
D_Mars: yeah, I ended up mounting out of curiosity and it seemed to work. That said, I'd rather not mismatch the tapers. I've already ordered and received the 110.5mm ISO BB from Phil. So, this one has to go!
Thanks dudes

Sold! (Only a year later...)
Hi folks,
Picked up a Phil Wood BB off ebay -- but it turns out the seller gave the wrong specs. So, it's no good to me.
It is 108mm symmetrical spindle, with a JIS taper. Mounting cups are not included. Very very low mileage -- it is practically brand new.
Just looking to get back what I paid for it.
60gbp** 45gbp shipped** from Montreal, Canada. Will consider a trade for a 111mm ISO Phil Wood BB, so long as the condition is comparable.
PM me if interested!
Adam
