Singular Puffin

Had to get myself a fat bike ... and since Singular made one my choice was made.

First thing done is the wheelset. Tune Fat hubs + Marge Lite + CX-Ray.

I also ordered a Race Face crankset and Hope headset.
Still undecided on the remaining parts.

Going single speed first. Maybe 1x10 later.

I'd go shimano xt rear mech, and the matching raceface thick thin chainring. Get the ispec xt brakes for a simple uncluttered handlebar.

should i get 180mm rotor on the front or will 160/160mm be enough?

Sorry if off topic slightly but am I right thinking the front hub is 135mm spacing? I have been looking at one for a bolt on fixed cog rear to go on my Day One, if that makes sense?!

This is exciting. When do you receive the frame? Does it take longer because it was kickstarter backed?

Late February to early March.

The production itself didn't start before the kickstarter project was successfully 100% backed ... but I really liked the idea of having a bicycle frame made possible with Kickstarter.

got a cheap ti seatpost ... unfortunately I doubt I can fit the oval carbon rails on there :(

crankset is in the mail, so only need to get a few small parts

Did you get the saddle on that seatpost? I tried a similar combo, Gobi carbon rails and USE Sumo, and it was impossible to get the rails to to slide through onto the mount. Ended up exchanging it.

read somewhere that oval seat rails don't fit to this stem.
will use a thomson elite for the start ... will sell the ti seatpost probably.
