I think that phrase "concern for welfare" is when there's a domestic situation and one party drives away. Godawful anyway, RIP.

Don't think I'd have cut the guy trapped in the car free after killing two people through reckless driving.

Cycled this area regularly.
Its a fairly wide open modern road not normally dangerous by any measure.

Feel sick reading about this,
What noiser said; police chases should happen only in very exceptional circumstances.

I have found out that both cyclists were friends of friends. The feelings of grief are spreading like ripples through the local cycling community as people realise who they were. Both young dads, and known and loved by an awful lot of people.

Rest in peace riders :-(

An awful tale. Truly one of those "there but for the grace of" situations. I'm sure nothing they could have done to avoid the incident.
Heartfelt sympathies to their relatives and friends. I can't imagine what their wives and children will have to deal with now.
Rest in peace.
