Vittorio Pista

  • Thought I'd start a thread to progress the build of the Vittorio Pista I bought off of Forms on the forum this week.

I haven't managed to take any pictures of my own yet but here is how the frame used to be built up.

Moneys a bit tight so I'm going to be using a mix of new and parts I already have. So far I have the frame, a Dura Ace seatpost and seamless stem. A pair of Miche Pistard wheels from Kal on the forum. A Fizik Arione saddle. Hopefully by the weekend I'll also have Dura Ace 7710 cranks from TM.

I have some risers and drops to use until I have some money to get the right bars for the frame. That leaves pedals, cages, straps and then I'll be good to go.

I imagine its going to end up looking similar to this

I'll hopefully get some pictures up soon.

  • nice to see this back :)

    I <3 Vittorio

  • I was just reading a thread where you posted a picture of this and wondered if it was the same frame. I guess it is.

  • yes. this is how I got it a couple of years back, from a dusty shed after years of proper use on the Alkmaar Velodrome:

  • Beautiful frame, subscribed

  • Haha Peet, I remember you showing up on that bike a couple of years ago on one of our Tuesday night rides :) I just bought my red Gazelle Pista, i was red fresh bike day! Good memories!!

  • Finished building up the bike so I can ride it but not necessarily to its perfect state. Obviously it would look way better with clips and cages but the platform pedals and straps are all I have at the minute. Rides so nice couldn't be happier with the frame.
