Marketing Microcosm

I've been speaking about Microcosm to a few people (and have shown them TABS site). Was wondering if it's appropriate at this stage to push it. And if people are interested in using it for their group what can I tell them? When will they be able to get it and under what terms?

We've been talking to skydancer separately, but in case anyone else is wondering, Microcosm now at a stage where anyone can sign up: http://microcosm.app/.

Just seen the new site, looks great. But when I look at any forum the top-left image is unavailable.

Can we see any of the forums using microcosm? Are there any active ones?

Islington Cycle Club is using one, it's here http://forum.islington.cc/

And as you can see, it's busy.

TABS https://tabs.microcosm.app/ is less busy but we only have just over 100 members at the moment. It is pretty intuitive to use.

Many of our members would struggle to use lfgss

I see its now a flat rate of £5/month.

What is the thinking behind that? Do you think that will hinder take up, or is it a pragmatic decision that anyone not willing to pay £5/m is unlikely to make you much money anyway?

I see the traditional "image not here" icon that you used to get on webpages in ye olden times. Unless that's your default logo? In which case, it should probably be changed...

Just to check, you have Ctrl+F5'd? What about browser/OS?

It may be that it can't load PNGs, or we haven't identified it in a way that all browsers like. At the moment they're always https (ideally it should match whatever the page was loaded as).

Google Chrome. Not seeing that image.

That's really odd - could you try in incognito mode? And is this on windows/mac?

Just a guess, maybe amazon web services are blocked on your network. Let me know if any of these don't load (3 different sources):

I much prefer the design of microcosm than the forum generated by it.

I find microcosm well styled and cutting edge while the forums a bit too simple...

It appeal is its simplicity.
Many people who manage to access it and post would be completely lost on a v.bullitin forum (It too many of us on here a while to figure stuff out)
