I have certified photographs for passports but one has to have known the person in question for a while. We have never met AFAIK. Sorry!

Can any of your neighbours help?

My GP practice I think charges £10 to do that. Not ideal if you have to pay but if you are desperate you could try your GP?

If it's just for the purposes of verifying your identity for your conveyancing work, I don't think the person doing the certifying needs to know you - he or she just needs to see the originals and the copies and certify that the copies are true copies.
I could probably do it - I could drop by in SW2 on the way to or from town (I live in Forest Hill). No coffee or beer needed. Others may be closer to hand and more in need of coffee or beer, so I don't mind being gazumped!

I just walked into a solicitors on Bishopsgate and paid a nominal fee (5 or 10) to get it done.
Some sigs only require a 'professional' so almost anyone who runs their own business will do.

There is a list of 'approved' professions. https://www.gov.uk/certifying-a-document
Try a teacher - unlike other professionals, most will do it for free.
It could be one of your own (I used to countersign passport photos for ex pupils some years after they'd left) or if you have kids and attend parents evenings, no doubt someone will say they've known you for however many years. I've done several for neighbours as well - though not since retiring...

Thanks Paul! Nice to meet you this morning.
The forum makes me smile at times like this.
Can anyone on here certify copies of mine and my fiance's passports?
Out conveyance solicitor said it has to be a doctor or a solictor, but they are outside of London.
Beers/coffees in it for you if you can.
I work in NW1 (Marylebone) and live in SW2 (Brixton).
Need this in the next couple of days.
Thanks for looking!
