For Sale: Old brakes, long reach brake, 27.2mm seatpost.

Some bits that emerged while switching bikes..

• 28mm Schwalbe Durano tyres below.. Taken

• Weinmann style “730a” brake front/rear. Hex nut style - not recessed. No blocks (chain reaction has parts). Only one matched set of scalloped washers, so either use one of the brakes, or find some washers and use both. Sold.

• Tektro R559 extra long reach rear brake. Very deep drop, lots of room for wide tyres and guards. Ebay.

• Thorn 27.2mm 350mm seatpost. Brand new, 90mm minimum insert. Sold.

Collect from London SW11 (Clapham ish) or mail.

Also a set of used Schwalbe Durano 28mm 700c tyres. Have performed flawlessly for a year but I've had to downsize to 25mm for a new frame.

what is the drop on the Weinmann style brakes please?

Found it online (53-71mm). Will check the bike tomorrow and let you know if good.

Yep that sounds about right. Bit difficult to measure without blocks in but eyeballed with a tape measure to where they should be, that's in the ballpark. The range matches the slot length.

Just checked and remembered I need something that can fit to a vertical hole in the seat stay bridge. Sorry.

Freecycle on the callipers, else garbage.

Yemble - have you still got them? I have found an adaptor to make them work. Happy to pay postage and original price..
