For Sale: LOOK 585 Origin full carbon frameset 59cm

Look 585 Origin (2010 Model) Very High Modulus Carbon Fibre.

It has been loved and looked after and is in superb condition. I have pictured the inevitable areas of wear which are cable rubs to the near side head tube and seat lug. There is paint loss under the rear brake bridge and on the chain stay by the small ring - all normal wear and caused by the very close clearances. The offside down tube also has a tiny mark by the second 'O' of 'Look'.

The frame and fork weigh in at just over a kilo but my scales are not accurate to be any more specific. Look quote 990g for the small (frame only)The virtual size ( as if it were measured as a traditional geometry bike, centre of bottom bracket to centre of seat lug is 59cm.The actual size when measured centre of BB to centre of seat lug is 58.3cm (the top tube slopes slightly).The top tube measured horizontally is 58.7cm (centre to centre).The chain stays are 40.5cm.The centre of the BB to the fork drop outs measures 61.7cm (the front centre dimension).The head tube is 19.9cm top to bottom.

There is just one 5mm spacer on the head tube and then 40mm for the handlebar stem stack height. I will include the super light Look seat post (Ergo Post 4).The fork is the HSC5 SL.

Depends on your proportions I suppose, I think we're around he same height but this would be too long for me I suspect.

He says never having sat on a Look, so take that with a pinch of salt.

Im 6 .3 with 34 inside leg is this my fit ? Ive not owned a modern frame with cm measurements used to inches.

Mondrian was bought for a friend (who's 6'3). Fits him well.

Surely body proportions (leg/arm length) come into this? Often people around my height don't 'get' my saddle height. And my long arms reduce any tyrannosaur effect on the stem and was on a 58 square frame.

At 6ft 1 I would love to snap this up.

Negative 58+ top tube is just a little too big.

This is a lovely frame, it is just too big for me. I'm 6'2'' but have long legs (33/34'' inside leg). This might fit someone 6'1'' but it all depends on the proportions.

Have Scherritt fit you properly or at least measure a bike in a bike shop.

Not as much as you'd think. To get a ridable position on an OTP road frame, you need to be sensibly proportioned. If you are a freak, the roughly square proportions won't work whichever way you go. Let's say Bainbridge is my height but needs the long reach of the 59cm frame, then he will need the saddle so low to the top tube that the stack will be all wrong. If he has freakishly long legs which require the 59cm, his body won't be long enough to reach the bars unless he uses a 3cm stem.
