right dilemma....thinking of replacing the chainset on my geared bike so maybe the campag mirage and matching BB should go on this and i should get rid of the gran sport chainset - or the other way around?
thoughts? -

No thoughts on your question, sorry, but I'd love to hear where did you go with this :)

i bought a campag carbon chainset for the posh bike, and after a few fittings with a BB i ended grinding a bit off the web on the gran sport chainset to allow a few mm's extra clearance. i previously had the ring on the inside for a better chainline, so now with an 8 speed conversion kit the ring is now on the outside and looks loads better
I'm using my strada hardox campagnolo rims with record hubs.
only used it once this year, which is a shame. just need to sort out some bar tape
I'll try and take a photo and post it up.
i've used it for about 3 years, but it's been sitting in my garage not being used for the year (i've been riding the Denti), so i've decided to take apart and re-build with the hope of using it in 2015.
so the frame is a very early 70's holdsworth super mistral.
it was about to be taken to the tip so i thought i'd give it a try as a SS.
it was black hammerited so i stripped and had a £50 paint job done, whilst at it put a campag headset in and managed to get some 27" tange chrome forks (as new) from my local charity bike shop for a fiver.....
wheels will be unfortunately 700c meaning the clearances won't be close, but record hubs on omega rims.
cinelli stem and bars (need some proper taping), gran sport cranks....
have a Milremo suede saddle and campag seatping bolt
theres a few things i'd like to change, but it's getting there again!
