Dawes Emblem 1950s

Hello There,

I'm after a bit of advice. I purchased this Dawes Emblem off a chap who got it from a barn sale. I can't find any info about the model, anyone know about it?

I would like to restore the frame as the paintwork is rusty and chipped off in places but I can't find any replacement decals for it. Any ideas of where I can purchase decals for this bike? or is there a good way to remove rust without damaging the paintwork?
