  • To take off, sort, clean and polish, and make available for sale, dirty, grubby, vintage bike parts

The successful applicant will be tough, enthusiastic, and fast, always looking for the quickest and most effective way of doing things. We know the basics, and are happy to pass on our knowledge, but the applicant will need to appreciate an understanding of bicycle economics in order to process the parts in a way that produces rewards all round.

Typical parts to be cleaned include hubs, brakes, wheels, seat posts, frames, etc. After cleaning, some parts will need to be polished on a buffing machine. A basic skill in cycle mechanics will be useful in order to disassemble and understand components, as well as to service and adjust hubs, etc, and assess the damage and usefulness of parts.
