Winter fixed roller training

Posted on
  • Soooooo due to the extremely shit weather and it being dark much faster than I would like, I have invested in some rollers.
Took me about 5mins or less to get used to them and be able to use them unaided for longish periods of time. Iv been going on them nearly every day for 30mins or so for a week but feel I could be doing something' better! E.g training wise. Looked on the internet and most roller training is for geared bikes. Any suggestions are welcome apart from get a geared bike ect haha
I'm running 49/19 if that helps.
    Cheers

  • could do i suppose but was thinking of interval work if thats poss. guessing it would be if i span at different cadences for different times. If anyone could point me in the direction of a good first time cadence reader or speedometer thingy.......

  • i'm interested to hear it didn't take you too long to get used to, i've been interested but found them a little dounting - maybe time to take that leap.

The spin up exercise doesn't change gear:

  • I was the same at first. Then took the leap. Set it up at home on my lunch break and had a quick 5min go on them and literally was fine with them withing mins. Just gotta keep a certain level of concentration which is a good thing I guess :-). Cheer for the link will hit it up only lunch break
