I forgot to bid on a reverse gear bike the other day. Was gutted when I remembered.
It was amazing.
Went looking for it in completed listings to post up, but couldn't find it. -

Found it.
Google Hirondelle Retro gear.

I've got a couple.... Pics later.
One is a Dayton elite from 1947.... Complete, from the first owner.
The other is very unusual... Badged and decal'ed as a 'Clarion'. I have a feeling it is a very early Adam Hill (of Hill Special repute) as his first factory was called clarion cycle works.... The badge also has some similar features ie, broad arrow heads. Early 40's is my best bet, due to the components. -

1956 too late?

Come on Pat show us what your wares.
1956 is fine, anything after 1960 is too modern.

-

stronglight 49D chainset.
racelight hubs laced to modern rims i think......J-RoK your Carlton looks totally rad. close-up of the lugs? they look rather ornate. its it bare metal? rusting?
Edit: look like Carlton international lugs....would still really like to see more.

hope your ok buddy. sounds like you have had quite a night.
The Dayton is so nice! is that a Benelux Cyclo derailleur?
Seat tube decal on the clarion looks very intriguing. would love to see more of it.
Pre 1950's rides of LFGSS:
Are you preserving a little bit of history?
Readers wives, old ratty beaters, paths, track irons, geared,
L'eroica steeds, club racers, roadsters... All are welcome.
If its older than the 1950's( 1900's, 10's, 20's, 30's, 40's, 50's) show us what you have got.
