Dibs on pedals if you split...

£1900? Wow.
-
• #4
Is this too expensive? As I said i'll consider offers over £1500.

• #5
Your going to need better pics for that price.

I'd rewrap those bars as well, make it look £1500 worth!

That build, with those pedals....
Mind blown

I'm hoping that OP put those on for the ad and that he hasn't been riding it like that.
shudder

Using £50 notes?
Easy with photocopies and that camera. -

A fine Bike
Lot of pretentious shit on here.
Peddles and saddle are personal choice.
The price is a good, it's about the same sale point as a Colnago C50.
Good luck with your sale -

Good luck with your saleThank you. Pedals came with it when I bought it, sure they're nothing special but they do the job fine. Nice to see the forum banter is alive and kicking!

It's at least £900 over priced.

Good luck with your saleThe C50 was Colnago's flagship model, handbuilt in Italy and ridden to countless pro victories. The Avant was De Rosa's entry level carbon frame, provenance unknown but likely built in Taiwan, and is not comparable to a C50.
The price of the Avant as a new bike was artificially high due to the strength of the De Rosa brand.

Ultimately the market will value it- I suspect that Dov's estimate is a good one.

Glad you can see that no one is actualy having a go at you.
You are going to get closer to your asking price if you take some better photos though.
Have a look at listings for bikes that have sold for over £1000 on here.

I figured this wasn't really the place to sell it, nothing like a bit of pre sale banter tho LOL.
Now listed elsewhere, should be interesting to see what happens, it's a lovely bike no matter what, though I must admit the pedals are a bit....weird. I'll stick some better pics up later if anyone wanted to see it up close.Daz

You might have more luck at bikeradar to be honest.
Not sure if this suits the forum, but you don't know unless you try right?
I have this beautiful full carbon De Rosa Avant to sell. It's been heavily modded with the campy bits and is in excellent condition, never been crashed or abused, no damage whatsoever to the carbon. Mechanically and cosmetically this bike is perfect. This is just a quick list of the specs as I'm not sure there will be any interest on here, but please do ask if wish for more details. I'm in Stratford, and will provide the buyer with a receipt as proof of purchase from me and a copy of my purchase receipt.
54CM frame, top tube is 55cm
Groupset is full campagnolo Record Titanium/carbon, including the cranks
Headset is Chorus
Wheels are Bontrager race x line, sealed hubs, perfectly true
Seat post is carbon De Rosa
Seat is a battered Fizik, on a bike like this I understand it's a personal choice so rather than put any new one on, I would contribute towards replacing with what the new owner wanted (within reason of course)
Bars and stem are ITM.
Tires are mis matching, bonty race line and a gatorskin, both have loads of life left but I'm happy to buy whichever matching replacement the new owner prefers.
Price : £1900, will consider any serious reasonable offers.
