I'm selling my Mercian project that never got off the ground.

Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: 700C
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531C
Seatpost size: 27.2mm

Blurb,

This 1986 Mercian Vincitore touring frame has been repainted by Mercian in recent times and feature their wonderful Barber’s Pole seat tube decoration. It has braze-ons for cantilever/V brakes, a rear rack, bottle cages and a Sanyo BB dynamo. The paint is generally great condition with a few small marks no dings or dents.

I think it's a bargain......you could build up a wonderful tourer for less than 6-700.

A new vincitore special (next one up from this) is about £1600 +Vat.....just as a guide ;0)

I think I actually paid £375 so with the headset it's even more of a bargain.

Bargain. I think I sold mine without paint for 250ish.

Such a nice frame (and being a Hammers fan the colourway is fantastic).

If this is still available in March 2014 I'll take it (going away for a while soon so can't buy anything at the moment).

Out of interest, which do people think would be the ideal groupset to build this up to a nice vintage tourer?

Incredible, exactly my size, wish I could buy this, build it up and disappear into the sunset....

Mine is set up with 90's Veloce, with a polished triple.....so fine!

There's a lot of possibilities with this frame.
Whoever get's to build it up is going to be smiling for a long long time.
Just a shame it can't be me. Second best is selling it to another forum member.

There's been lots of positive chat about this beaut, which I really appreciate but no bites yet.

This frame will not end up on ebay and must go on this forum.

Incidently if anyone has one of these or a racing t triple they are looking to sell I need one for my own 80's King of Mercia.

Lovely frame, those lugs! I love my KOM but I am now lusting after this, I have viewed this thread about 20 times even though it is 4cm to big.
