Hope you got a second opinion. My GP told me to stop running when my knee gave in but had decency to refer me to hospital experts. Nothing wrong with my knee at all, just had to do some stretches.
Sorry for old-man-at-a-bus-stop off topicness. -

Thank You, I will get 2nd and probably 3rd opinion. Good to know.

Do! When I had my recent knee troubles the physio was very pleased to hear that I rode a bike for excercise as it's non-load-bearing. He wasn't so sure about a fixie though!

hey! A truly piece of classy Italian beauty! I love it. Are you in London? I might come have a look at her.
My girlfriend has an 80's Zarma (Campagnolo from head to foot). Zarma was a local north east Italy manufacturer that was very active on the road races in the 80s. I was actually looking for something similar and the Enik sounds like my best shot!

oh yeah! Of course... I was mislead by the Gipiemme dérailleurs and crank-set. I thought it was Austrian though.. silly me. BTW, I think the bike has not reached her price yet..
I have in mind a project similar to one that I have done when I was collecting and repairing road bikes in Padua (Italy). She won't be fix or single speed, but I was actually looking for a decent 10 speed complete set. I want something light to provide with aluminium custom straightish bar so that I can use it to ride fast in the traffic and hence to enjoy WE rides with my girlfriend as well.

How big's the Enik?
Also - definitely get a second, third and fourth opinion on the knee thing.
While harsh fixed riding might be stressful on the knees, most of the 'opinions' i heard about freewheel riding is that it's therapeuthic (or whatever the spelling is) really, for as long as you don't do overdo it.Also, where in PL are you? I know a good doctor, I think he's currently in Warsaw.

Price drop & bump!
Enik 180 GBP.
So, lads, it is a very sad moment for me, cause my doc told me that I should stop riding a bike, because of my knees. That's why I sell these rubbish:
The one and only Enik Amateur 3P (I have no idea, what it means), built with Columbus Aelle tubes. Full Gipiemme Sprint groupset.
Tubular rims, front tube should be replaced soon.
Stem is 3t mod. Record, bar is 3t mod. Competizione.
Nice and smoothly working, some chips on the top tube. There is chromium all over the paint, so it will be no problem to change the painting easy.
Good stuff for L'Eroica and for other cyco's:)
