Surely you should indicate how much you really want one?
For instance, what if you said you'd pay 360 for one as you noticed that the last 2 went for 320 each. That is 40 on the base price.
If you said 320 then you probably don't want one that badly

Sorry yes, to clarify, I paid £360 for the one I was refunded on, missed out on the other two by getting beat to them first, not on price. Looking to pay anywhere around £300 - £400 depending on condition

Track axle also, not quick release. Still on the lookout.
-
• #13
Huh? Not sure I follow. You saying that he didn't have a track axel?
-
• #14
Yeah it was a quick release
-
• #15
Not sure they are that common with a "track axle" just swap out the qr for a allen bolt skewer, the Halo one for example.
But fuck paying £400 for one.
front clincher Hed/specialized in reasonable condition, going rate on the forum is around £260, £300-330 should get you a minter, £400? nah. Not worth it.
-
• #16
The one I bought / got refunded for was QR and I was ready to buy the axle from Hed but would rather not for extra costs. I've been told its as simple as removing one and putting the other in but as I haven't tried changing one I'm a little unsure.
Thanks for the info on prices. Went up to £400 since I'd already paid £360 for one, £40 wouldn't hurt if its in really great condition. Though ideally £300 - £330 is good.

Mine is still up for grabs if you want it, just do what TM said...

Lol, don't pay 400 for one Sam, that's higher than eBay prices.
That Planet X up page used to be a lovely, proper track bike... It has now, been ruined.

not saying 400 at all, whatever is being offered i will consider. And BTW JB this Planet X hasn't been ruined at all, i didnt want to use it as a track bike, therefore i am not. Mind yout own business man :p

Bit cheeky asking for £400 for that specialized wheel man, jesus, how much profit would that have been?
Mind his own business? He's making it his business that you don't rip off a fellow forumer.

260 and 300 at the VERY max if it was in perfect condition.
Ha, pls. It has been ruined. If it hasn't been ruined why did you remove the link to the image of the bike? Because you were afraid others will agree with me? Don't make me laugh, Messyrage.

Don't worry guys I already messaged and wouldn't pay £400, but thanks for looking out!
TM's recommendation of £300 - £330 is ideally where I'm at, the lower the better really but someone letting one go for a bit more in a nice condition would merit the higher range.
I know they're hard to find but I thought I'd give it a go since I've had bad luck with these things.
I'm looking for a front one for my new build, preferably Clincher with a breaking surface, 700c.
Unlucky enough to have just missed out on 2, and owned one for 24 hours before the seller realised it was cracked and refunded.
Can I haz Tri spok?
