  • So since I've purchased this frame from James1234 and I'm currently waiting for it in the post I thought I'd make a CP thread because I like to document stuff and I've never done one before (so bare with me if I do it wrong) and also to shout out people I got parts from who were all great guys and saved me a bit of dough.

The frame is a red 54cm Bridgestone Anchor, I'll upload my own pictures once it arrive but if your curious there are a few on James' build thread (http://www.lfgss.com/thread101862.html), also if anyone's interested in the bikes life before me.
Here's the link to my Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/94154699@N08/sets/72157635348704731/

My parts list is as follows...
    I currently have:
Dura ace 7710 Octalink cranks and bottom bracket which I got from Telescope1608
Dura ace Easton SP7410 seatpost, also from Telescope
    49T Zen chainring
    Nitto Pearl9 stem from jazzythumper
Front wheel is a dura ace 7600 36h hub and hplus TB14
Dura ace 7600 36h rear hub
    San Marco concor saddle
    Kashimax tt protector
Another hplus tb14 so I can build up the the rear wheel
    Pearl Izumi super toughness chain
    Dura ace headset from OK123

    Things left to buy are:
A pair of handlebars (I have nitto track drops but would like road)
Standard Gatorskin and a Hardshell for the back

Should hopefully be getting it put together over the next week or two and I'll keep this thread up to date with a few pictures and comments and hopefully some people will find this interesting

    Thanks, Kamal :)

  • Ahhh dude should have PMd me if you needed parts! I've got loads of NJS stuff I'm not using.

    Currently packaging your frame btw..

  • Thanks, I didn't have much trouble finding stuff anyway, I'm assuming you don't have dura ace hub axles conversion kit to fit the hubs to the frame since you filed your axles?

  • is the pearl10 going spare?

  • Bought it from kinoko last week, then found the 9 so I'm gonna return it and get my money back to cover my tyres and tubes etc. for this

  • fair enough, looks like this is going to be a solid build

  • Thanks man, gonna be my last build for a long while I'm excited about the end result

  • This sounds good. Nice parts list and nice frame. Nice wheel too! Everything is nice!

  • Got in to work this morning and found this waiting for me! :D

  • This is going to be awesome.

  • YES KAMAL! Going to be bomb!

  • Get some Nitto m106nas!

  • Thanks for the comments guys

    Get some Nitto m106nas!

Do they come in 25.4? From glancing at kinokos site they're 26, good suggestion though thanks

  • don't think you'll get any compacts in 25.4, trade the pearl for a 26.0 one?

  • A tip for anyone changing dura ace hub axles, if the hubs not built into the wheel use a vice or it will take ages :/

Also not set on running compact drops particularly still looking into options

  • So James1234 isn't a master con man, he is intact one of the most thorough frame packers I've ever known!
So it's finally here and it's amazing and I'm in love (<3) still needs a headset and also awaiting a rim from hubjub, trading axles tomorrow for those which will fit this frames odd sizing and I'll be on my way to building it!

  • Also the markings on the right side of the fork aren't scratches or chips its just either tape glue or grease, gonna give it a swipe off tonight

  • LUSH! So jealous!

  • I am a master conman, that is simply a Foffa I painted like a Bridgestone....Muhahahaha

Glad it reached you safely mate, it's been in the workshop a while so has quite a bit of grease on it! Enjoy

  • Everything is coming together, tomorrow I will have the headset installed, bb, crankset and I'll only be waiting on a rear rim in order for it to be rideable

  • And as if by magic speak of the devil...

  • do you have a nicer pic of the frame? that cherryred looks lush, and i cant find a fs thread of aforementioned james1234..?

    Thar she blows.

Frame is proper candy, so colour clearcoat over chrome.

Watch it Karmal, you can actually pick the clearcoat off with your fingers it's that thin, plus it comes off in chucks. Be very delicate installing the headset especially.

  • Thanks for the heads up ill go slow and steady tomorrow
