I wouldn't want to put anything longer than a 445mm fork on that. A 470mm 29er fork would feel terrible.
Lovely looking frame btw! SSing in Epping Forest next time?

Climb every mountain,
Search high and low,
Follow every highway,
Every path you know.Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,

All the love you can give,
Every day of your life
For as long as you live.Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
Till you find your dreamA dream that will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life,

Follow every rainbow,
Till you find your dream. So no, I'll stick to the gears for epping thanks

but there is a lot of gap currently between the top of the tyre the bottom of the fork
if i were to put a 26" fork sure that would lower the head angle making it more twitchyadmittedly the last couple of nights i have been thinking more about the handling and it feels pretty good, i think it's just the suspension that makes it feel slighly more wobbly less acurate
lets have a look at 445 forks
what options do i have -

what make have you got there ?

Are you taking the suspension sag into consideration?
What's the fork-tyre gap like when you're on the bike?

Yes indeed and by a strange twist of fate I revived it this weekend and am actually riding it today for the first time in yonks (brakes and gears were a bit sick)
Will be in W1 this afternoon if you want to have a look at it/ take pics/ measure etc.

ha, i'm W1, hanover square environs,
it would be good to see what someone else has done to theirs -

Dicki - I have a meeting in Hanover St at 3pm - will park the bike on the railings by Pret - I can get there a bit early if you like - give it a once over?

ok sounds good
see you there
i'll roll over with mine ! -

Also if you want to have look at those Exotic forks TM mentioned, I built my MTB with them yesterday and have rode today also in W1 if you want to have a look. I could track down the original spec of the bike and ordered right length forks from exotic, they make a lot of variants I needed, check their fork selector I needed 42.5cm to match the original forks. Decent forks for money IMO, I went with disc with V mount just in case I need the V mounts for a rack or something

wow, w1 is the centre of the universe today
where are you parked ? -
• #18
look forward to it

Have to say the exotic forks look proper badass, just the type of riding I'm doing really warrants some bounce.

I've got a meeting at 3 - can play again afterwards but not sure what time that might be - maybe 4.15.
So I got this Voodoo a couple of years back.

I have suspension forks currently but would like to switch to rigids. I am looking for a PACE RC31 style fork.
Should I be going for a 29'er fork to keep the front end up or a 26' fork. Currently the front end feels a bit elevated and the steering although good isn't as sharp as I would like.
I'm having trouble locating the original spec of the bike to work out if the forks are 100mm or 120mm ? I guess that would make a slight difference.
