I have no idea what this route is like, hats drew it out for me.
For the record, I have pretty much no idea what this route is like either, though some of it is the same as the Thorpe Park route from a few months ago. I'm completely open to route suggestions!
There might be a bonus flooded road bit, as Ham Gate in Richmond Park this morning was under water too.

What time you thinking of leaving/arriving?
Where you going to swim when you get to reading?
Lots of options.. I used to swim in caversham lakes, but only because it was closeby, seemed nice and cleanhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caversham_Lakes
I know its not the point & not wild.. but you are cycling right by shepperton, which is worth the £5 to swim

Probably leaving London at 9.30 - reckon we should meet Adroit outside Reading by 12.30. Adroit has the lowdown on where to swim. Come along!

I was swimming there last night, flat calm, Common terns fishing around me early, and then bats swooping low after the sun went down. Magical.
The water's lovely too.
I hope to get my dogs along once we arrive so lots of stick chucking for them too. -

Will hopefully meet you at Ham Gate let me know what time you think you'll be there!

Oz and I will be leaving Camberwell at 9.30, but with possible hipster o'clock factor... Should be at Ham Gate at, hmm, 10.15? There is very little point calling me once we're en route as I won't hear my phone, you might have more luck with Oz though.

I keep my phone in my pocket but there's no guarantee I'll hear it. I'll keep an ear out for it

I've seen some interest of going swimming out toward Reading. I'm up in London this week and would like to go out.
Here's the route: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3096887
I have no idea what this route is like, hats drew it out for me. Doesn't look too hilly though. I'll be riding it fixed so it can't be that bad.
Adroit will meet us on Drift Road (mile 36) and lead the way to swimming spots. Unsure on exact times yet but it'll need to be something like 9:30am.
The route is plotted from Camberwell but could move it to somewhere more central if that worked better. Like Hyde park corner for example.
Trains back from Reading seem very frequent and take 45 minutes. £17 single but hopefully we can get a groupsave...
List!
