I have a Claude Butler Dalesman- which was the same frame as a Dawes Galaxy
Frame and some parts available- but we do have a dent on the top tube..
Looking to start accumulating gear for a long bike tour next year, after upgrading near all my current gear and buying that which I do not yet own.
Bike ( Complete or Parts ) - Surly Long Haul Trucker or similar, 55cm or there abouts.
Racks ( Front and Rear ) - Tubus or similar heavy load capacity racks.
Panniers and Bar Bag ( Front and Rear ) - Ortliebs or Carradice or other reasonably high quality panniers.
Tent - 2 man, around 2kg mark, pitch in one or flysheet first. Around price and quality of an MSR Hubba Hubba or Vango Tempest / Banshee etc.
Mat - Looking at something like a Exped DownMat, ThermaRest etc. - smallish weight and packsize, self inflating.
Stove - preferably multifuel capacity, Trangia 27 with gas fitting, MSR Whisperlite International or similar.
Torch - Petzl Tikka 2 or similar.
Lots of other bits that I'll be in need of so hit me up with any spare gear you own, am sure I'll be happy to take stuff off your hands!
