  • As above, great example in orange (frame) and black (rear triangle, front fork and 'stem'). 6 speed BWR (Brompton Wide Range) Sturmey Archer rear hub and Brompton custom derailleur running standard gearing on a 44t front chainring (I think, I'll check). All in very good condition, no chips/scratches of note aside from a broken pedal reflector on NDS due to striking in a tight turn, which I'll replace (if you care).

2011 model so comes with removable 'suspension' (currently standard rather than firm) and rear triangle clip that's not found on older models. All original components, inc. Zefal pump, front luggage block and 2x Swalbe Kojak slick tyres which can be run at 120psi for that extra bit of poke, still plently of life in them. Finally the previous owner has put the Ergon 'ergo' grips on the bike, I don't have the originals I'm afraid but I'm told they're about £35 new.

Why am I selling? Well I just moved to Bath and I travel to London once or twice a week so thought this would be a great way of commuting. In practice however I'm rarely in London for a reason other than a client meeting and, as such, can't really be greeting them sweaty/rainy with a bike in hand. Plus I can generally charge travel back to the client so it's no longer a cost saving. Add to that the fact that riding from Paddington station is horrible and, well, it's just not working out.

Purchased about 8 weeks ago on eBay for £680, I've serviced it and used about 4 times since then, so I expect to get that back for it.

I also purchased the telescopic seatpost which I can include for an extra £35 (RRP is £55 I think) otherwise I will sell it independently for £40 (after sale of the bike). With the post anyone up to about 6'8'' can ride it (I have a 35'' inside leg measurement and it's not at the top), equally my 5'9' girlfriend can ride it.

I'll take pictures this evening so look out. I'm able to drop in London, Bath or Bristol. Not tempted to post but PM if you are interested in paying for the privilege.

  • Just to make it clear: Offer is for £680/715. Not ONO.

  • damn, am after a 6 speed - just cant afford it at the moment. If you still havent sold it in a month or so I'll definitely be interested.
Might we worth putting a link to this in the Brompton thread.

    Anyway, have a free bump

As you can see in the final one there was a spot of surface rust on the axle nut and indicator chain when I purchased it. I've taken what was there off with a bit of oil but it would do with a wire brushing really. Otherwise the bike is clean and ready to roll.

  • Bump: throwing in a cateye wireless computer too (mainly because I forgot it came with one)

  • I'll take the post if the buyer doesn't.
