Hi Mattias....I'll put together the bits I can myself but to be honest Im pretty rubbish at all things mechanical....so far In addition to the frame I've got....
- Saddle (Probably a brookes b17)
- flat bars (But will probably look to have these cut down)
- a XT crankset but needs a new chainring
- Tubeless Tyres (No idea how these work)
- Mavic front wheel
- XT rear mech (although thinking single speed might be lower cost overall)

yea single speed will be cheaper, also easier to bolt on everything yourself imo
maybe fix it, then you have no need for brakes :p -

Ok cool nice one...thinking more single speed last time I rode fixed I forgot to pedal!
Just reading the youtube clip on the conversion and it looks like a normal mountain bike wheels should be fine to convert so if anyone has one give me a shout...

keep an eye of the classifieds, or start a wanted thread, i'm sure someone here has the things you need
So made a bit of an impulse buy and bought this frame......I then proceeded to buy a rather random collection of parts...thank you to Pas 142.
Aiming to turn this into a beater/potential commuter/starting point for mountain biking.....questions....
Thinking it will be easier to run as a single speed with a conversion kit on the back.....has anyone got experience of doing this?
Also thinking of running it with track cranks to give it a quicker gear...will this work?
Any recommendations for places which can put a bike together cheaply.....don't really want to do the whole full build thing in a bike shop since its aiming to be a budget build?
Thanks in advance for any help....Thanks.
