2013-07-29 - Rider Down, Holborn circus

Holborn Circus - Range Rover has hit a cyclist, paramedics are there. Not much more yet. Junction is half closed now, police directing traffic, according to Twitter. Hope the rider is okay, that whole stretch of road is horrendous, particularly that junction.

I rode through this morning. it's a big mess at that junction with all the roadworks. policeman said the rider was ok & for what it's worth the bike didn't look at all mangled - biggish hybrid with rack leaning against the ambo. that's all I know.

I now know of the identity and injuries of the rider. I respect the need for privacy and wish the rider a speedy and complete recovery.

Did anyone get photo of the scene? Close ones are asking.

The cyclist was apparently struck by bull bars. Close ones would like photos of bull bars in general.
It is possible the bars were not of an 'approved' type.
We'd like help with evidence.

How is the cyclist doing?

Form V888 will give you the name and address of the registered keeper of the vehicle. You can always go round and take photos.

The cyclist is out of hospital but sore. I believe a lawyer is making further investigations.
