Hi, I'm unable to send a PM as I'm still a 'newbie' on this forum but would like to express my interest.
If this is still available, perhaps you could email me on elaine [ a t ] creativestoreys.com ?
Thanks.

I'm pleased to say I think we're sorted, and I'm glad to say it is a forumenger !
I'm working with a company in Northern Ireland, building software to manage factory, warehouse and distributions systems. A lot of it is based around Northern Ireland's livestock industry; a good summary is that the software can track a chick from its egg right through its lifecycle and eventual distribution to a supermarket.
The software has quite an emphasis on being easy to use, with nice, intuitive graphics illustrating the process. The users can then easily click through the bit they need - or that's the idea! However, the project is getting quite big and we've run out of time - plus we're software engineers, so not great at gfx...
So what we need is a designer who can improve on what we've got and continue to build a consistent look and feel for the various apps. We need stuff in vector format that can scale up and down neatly, as well as some PNGs for various client apps.
An example of the kind of thing is:

but a bit less isometric. And we'll need icons of chickens... and eggs... as well as forklift trucks!
There's probably quite a lot of scope to indulge your own creative vision; we have no preconceived identity in mind, the only thing we're interested in is to work with someone over the long term who can make sure the apps all look neat and consistent. It wouldn't be fulltime work, but piecemeal on a freelance basis.
Anyone interested? It would be good to hear from you via a PM, perhaps with an example of your work -- or a chicken icon attached! And let me know your hourly or day rate, too, thanks!
