• Long story short: I built this bike to ride through Nepal, on a month-long mtb trek. However, a change of circumstances means I've had to call the trip off, and I've flown straight back from Australia, to the UK, with the bike, which I now have to sell.
I built her specifically for this trip (see thread), and only rode a couple of 'shake-down' rides, to get everything tuned up, ad dialled in. It's basically a completely brand new bike!

    Here's a quick spec:
S-Works Stumpjumper frame with Fox futureshock and Brain (140mm travel)(brand new)
Rockshox Pike 454 fork with adjustable travel from 95-140mm travel (lightly used on previous bike, but freshly serviced)
Hope Pro2 hubs (gold) laced to Mavic 819 rims with dt-swiss champ spokes (lightly used on previous bike, but freshly tensioned and hubs serviced)
S-Works carbon cranks with 2x Sram XX spiders and chainring setups (26/39 and 24/38)(brand new)
Complete Sram X9 groupset in black (brand new)
Avid ultimate brake levers (brand new)
BB7 brake callipers (200f and 180r) (brand new)
Thomson lay-back seatpost 30.9mm (brand new)
Thomson X4 70mm stem (brand new)
Thomson All mountain carbon bars (brand new, not yet fitted) Currently Easton Monkeylite XC high
    ODI Ruffian grips
Specialized Phenom saddle 143mm (brand new)

It's an XL, but I'd say the frame is small for the size: it measures up to be almost identical to my Large Ibis Mojo. Built with all top-end components, and I spared no expense on reliability, as I was going to be in the middle of nowhere! 140mm travel, front and rear, and only 13.0kg! I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking, but if you have any questions; please message me:

It's an $8000 bike, in Australia, and I spent about $5000 building her up (I worked in a Specialized concept store). I would like to cover as much of this cost as possible, so my asking price is £2500 ovno I will now consider offers around £2000. I will take £1800, but not a penny less!

    Thanks,
    Sam

  • Very clever bikes these- I looked long and hard at one before buying a Rush, and I suspect I might have made the wrong choice.

  • Yeah. A versatile machine - Rush would have been a bit primitive in comparison.

Best of luck with selling this beast :)

  • A bump for an excellent bike, hope you get it sold

The Lefty sucked me in, what can I say- I was young, impressionable...

  • bump. Open to sensible offers.

  • Bump

  • Bump: i will now consider offers around £2000.

    Thanks,

  • Damn I'm tempted as hell...

  • £1900, anyone?

  • Looks nice! I am really considering a Jeckyll 2 but the price is tempting...

Hard to judge on the size though. What is the ideal rider height range?

  • I'm a lanky 6'1" (short body, long legs and arms), and I ride it with that much post out. I have it setup with a 70mm stem, and a set-back seat post, to keep the steering tight. Fits me comfortably, but you can change to an inline seatpost, and a longer stem if you want a more xc feel.

  • Thanks. . I wasn't clear if it were the L or the XL model Actually I am 6 ft, so looking at the geo at 65 cm horizontal effective top tube, it is too large for me
But a friend is interested and may contact you.

  • This is the absolute lowest price I will go: £1800, plus delivery. No offers below this. I can't believe this hasn't sold already. It's so cheap!

  • £1,800 isn't cheap, it's a good deal

  • out of curiosity why does it have cable pulled brakes?

  • I think it was for reliability / simplicity. It was going to go somewhere a long way from supplies of hydraulic fluid...but you can happily pop a spare brake cable or two into a toolkit.

    Precisely this.

If the bike is still not sold by the end of the week, it's going on eBay.

  • Looks awesome!

  • Last chance at £1800...

  • surprised it only has cable brakes... or are my eyes deceiving me..
