In. Why the fudge not.
I'll need to practice trackstanding... ¬_¬ -
• #4
We'll practise at the next ladies drinks. What could possibly go wrong?
-
• #5
I suppose if you need women to make up the numbers I can give it a go. Of course that means last place will be all sewn up!
Need to make sure it doesn't clash with cyclocross training day though.
-
• #6
Nice work DC! I'm afraid I have last place all stitched up though!
-
• #7
There better not be any sandbagging going on!

On the list now.

Ladieeeezzzz. Need to do a track induction.
I can't do either this Sunday or next for the ladies session, so I was wondering if anyone wanted to pootle down with me tomorrow. Otherwise I am thinking possibly Sunday 28th July? I'm wondering if it'd make more sense to do it closer to the actual event. -

You could do one of the Saturday inductions if you can't make a Sunday. Not ladies specific so likely to be more idiots (both as in 'men are idiots' and also 'jeez that guy rides like an idiot') but needs must and all that.
-
• #11
I will also get confirmation on wthr riders can do inductions on the day of the event as well

I need to do one myself but I work Sundays so can never make the ladies sessions.

Ja, but normally I train powerlifting on Saturday mornings, so a 1pm track session is unlikely to go down well with my legs... Only got this Sat free as there's a comp most people are heading to so training isn't on.

I'm sure you've mentioned this before but you do powerlifting?? All manner of awesome! I will be picking your brane about this at ladies drinks rather than derailing this thread.
As for induction, I used to go to the Mule Bar sessions but haven't been for over a year, so I'm going to get an induction/refresher. The induction sessions aren't too strenuous/aren't a proper training session as it were btw.
I could do next Sat - the 20th or the MBG sesh on the 21st? Any of those any good
10th or 17th of august after that..
-

I've done a few of the Mule Bar girl sessions on Sundays, which are great, but I've certainly never raced track before, so I really hope not too much is going to be expected of us!

Err. I may not have, it's not actually something I mention that often.
I'm in Bristol 20th/21st, so it'll prob be the following week for me, I'm working the 10th, and not sure about the 17th but don't want to leave it so close that it's my last chance!

hmm. possibly in. will need to do an induction/refresher, having ridden track one whole time before. do these have to be booked, or does one just rock up?
-
• #18
I've put myself on the list! It should be a fun day =) and the more of us the fun-ner
fluff, you can just show up to the induction either on saturdays or the women's sesh on sundays .. get there a bit earlier to get yourself a bike if borrowing, and esp for saturday when it can be quite busy
re 21st keep an eye on the FB page as there's a race on beforehand so there might be changes with the session ~

I'm going to do the induction on saturday if anyone wants to join me. I'm going to be scared!
-
• #20
I will come with you Scoot! No need for fear!
-
• #21
Check that there is an induction session on Saturday. I know there is racing going on that day.

Racing is at 2pm so inductions should still be happening.
-
• #23
^Ah true, I got confused by their flyer listing July 21 as Saturday as well. Thanks for pointing that out.
-
• #24
Bah! Won't be making tomorrow, have been summoned to my grandparents for a family gathering. They only happen a few times a year so I guess my induction will have to wait for next week.

Ok. Doing the ladies track session tomorrow. Promise.
Next forum track day is Sat 24th August and it would be awesome to get Team LLFGSS reppin' hard (or something)

It's a really fun/silly day. Serious track racing skills/attitude not required.
Ability to drink in sunshine and heckle and ride your bike in a circle more important.
I'm in, who else? You do need to do a track induction session though before hand either at mixed sat session or Mule Bar Ladies sesssions on sunday...
So..whose in?
