Cyclists killed in A30 Cornwall crash
Two cyclists have died following a collision involving a lorry near Newquay, Cornwall, police said.

The cyclists, who are not thought to be local, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened about 08:30 BST on the A30 eastbound at Summercourt, approximately one mile before the Fraddon exit.

The A30 has been closed eastbound between Fraddon and Carland Cross and will be closed for several hours.

The cyclists, who were believed to have been on a Land's End to John O'Groats trip, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Just seen on Twitter - the riders were fundraising for the Kirsten Scott memorial trust, which supports young people who have been diagnosed with cancer. Their fundraising page is here if anyone would like to make a donation.

Shit! Just found out from that story that they were riding for a charity that my friend helped set up! Awful news.

Well two guys from Aberdeen Asset Management My boss used to play rugby with one of them.

He was raising money for a cancer charity after his young daughter survived cancer.

What a head fuck.

On a side note, will the Just Giving page be affected by their deaths? i.e. might there be difficulties in getting the funds released to the charity?

I'm pretty sure the funds go through directly and arn't actually held by just giving?
