Wanted: small-ish steel frame road bike

Hello - looking out for a road bike for my Dad. He's not the tallest gentleman and not likely to be racing so we're looking at probably 52cm effective top tube length and more audax than track geo! Something along the lines of genesis/condor/surly etc would be amazing, although also interested in more classic steel bikes as long as decent spec components.

Budget somewhere between £300-700 depending on the bike. Any suggestions welcome...

I have an Eddy Merckx MXLeader 54 cm seattube, center to top and a toptube of 52 cm center to center.
The bike has a campagnolo Chorus equipment, rearmech Veloce.
Beautiful Ambrosio wheelset with campagnolo hubs.
The frame is a Columbus MXL frame.
The Eddy Merckx MXLeader is the top of the eddx Merckx range in the steel era.
The condition of the bike is near mint.
