ta, I found a few others also, in between falling asleep in the sun. I reckon, done with due care and attention, you can achieve some good results, on a bike that functions ummm, properly

I've always liked well-loved frames that have been updated over the years. Main sticking points clearly are 126 vs 130 rear spacing (solved by a cold set/ spring) and threaded vs threadless headsets (solved by buying a nice new carbon road fork).

yeah the fork replament junction is tricky, depends he nice the orig forks are, and whether the new stem ruins he build
