No one up for any rides?
I miss riding in groups like in London...

I'm always up for riding with new people - however I've just had reconstructive surgery on my shoulder so I'll be out of the saddle until the new year
Check out the VeloCafe opening up at the Level soon, will be a good spot to meet and start rides with peeps

I'd be up for it but I need to find a new place to live at the moment so a bit bogged down things.
Hopefully all will be well in the new year.

I'd be up for it. No shoulder surgery and just finished moving house so...
Time, place and destination?

Hi JackC,
i ride fixie a lot - but i am 15 miles north of Brighton near Henfield - some great country lane rides out here ! Great if you can get a group Fixie ride going but if not there are group rides with the roadies you may like to go on - i have ridden fixie with them on the flat rides, - Brighton Mitre from Cafe Nero in Hove on a Sat am and Sat / Sun with the On the Rivet CC from the small batch coffee shop or Velo cafe in Btn - see websites for info -

Mark - I think I have seen you riding around Henfield in the mornings whilst driving to work...Please for your own safety get some decent rear lights - It is really hard to see you in the shadows of the hedges, even harder in the rain the other morning!

I have organised a few rides under guise of the Tokyo Morvelo CC. With the weather being pants and getting married I have been a bit slack of late.
Have a look at the Facebook page at some of the previous rides, they have all been road bike based but if you want to do something fixed only I'm sure it could be arranged.

Neil and fixie-gang members, the weather this Saturday looks good.
Let's get out early ish for some miles. I'm happy to ride fixed and can even think of a decent country loop NE we could do.

Ahh, just saw this.
We're riding this Sat 16th Nov at 9am from The Level.
Fixed/SS if poss but the more the merrier so we're happy to have anyone join.
Nothing too taxing, just 30-ish mile jaunt, I think over to Lewes this time. We've all been riding for a few years but I doubt any of us are rocking power meters or are too worried about cadence! Wear whatever you like to be comfortable in.
Interested in this becoming a regular but casual thing, no need for a thread or that, I'll be out most Saturdays anyway.
I'll check back on here later tonight.

I can't do tomorrow but regular fixed/ss rides sounds great. Count me in.
Thanks for all the responses, looking forward to riding with guys.

How was the ride today? I'm in for next Saturday if you're going again.

10% off coffee at the new Velo cafe on the Level on a sat or sun if you turn in club kit before 11am apparently.

3 of us this Sat and we managed 35-odd miles, maybe 40. I'll upload the route when I get the file downloaded.
As if weren't hilly enough round here, we even managed a go up the back side of the beacon to finish, although I walked a good portion of that!
It'd be great to see a few more people out. We can route anything from 20-50 miles now I think :)

As soon as I've reached a reasonable stage of recovery I might try and dip my feet in on one of these rides, can't promise I'll finish it though!

I'm down for whatever - I roll full lycra & 22 gears so if you can deal with that then I'm in like Flynn.
-

Sounds good. Well up for a fixed ride on Saturday. Not ridden for a couple of months, so 30ish miles?

Don't worry, we were all lycra'd up. Even Dice.
Average speed is down a couple of miles on a road ride but it is winter so lower speeds is no bad thing.

...and I was bloody freezing!
I need to work out a warmer solution without breaking the bank on more stupid leggings
-
• #21
No. Always leggings
-
• #22
Thermals Dice. Go high street or Planet X to avoid hip cycling tax.
-
• #23
p.s. I may go out for a quick spin tonight. Work load depending.

So, this Sat? Who's in?
9ish start, 30ish miles, 1ish gears (+/- 21)

Yeah I'm up for it, on fixed. Only just sorted out my bike, be good to get some miles in.
I'm moving to Brighton in a week or so. Is anyone going out on any group fixed rides?
If not would anyone be up for some regular fixed rides?
