Campagnolo Cassette with a Shimano Groupset

Posted on
  • I have just bought a Shimano 105 Groupset for a bicycle, I need to get a cassette for the wheels I am going to build which I have Campagnolo Hubs, so assume a Campagnolo rear cassette is needed?

Will there be any compatibility issues with using a Campagnolo rear cassette with a Shimano rear derailleur?

  • Spacing is slightly different. You could use a jtek problem solver to change cable pull or a conversion cassette to get perfect shifting.

  • a friend of mine is running 105 groupset + 10 speed campag cassette.. his feedback, it works fine!

  • I have see these, if a Campag cassette didn't work full i presume I could sort it out with a spacer kit from here

  • can you change the freehub to a Shimano splined one?

  • can you change the freehub to a Shimano splined one?

the whole hub, i'd need to rebuild a wheel?

  • no just the splined section the cassette sits on, it can be changed on some wheels

  • Ah, i dont have the wheel where i am but will look and see, how do i tell if it's removable?
