I have filed down plenty of JIS forks to fit an ISO headset. It really isn't much work and pretty hard to mess up. If you buy a new headset then you will have the oposite problem of the cups not fitting properly in the head tube which could be worse if the press isn't tight enough.
Righto, got some (what I'm led to believe are) Roberts forks on a new frame but the crown race is 27mm, ie. JIS/Italian thread.
My question is: is it worth getting a new headset or should I just get the crown race machined to ISO? The headtube internal diameter seems right, it took a Chorus headset no problem.
Anyone know if Vaz does this sort of thing? I wonder if he could remove a totally fucking stuck bottom bracket for me as well.
