• Just seen this report of a possible hit and run incident in Enfield. A 26 year old male cyclist was found lying unconscious on the side of the road with serious injuries: http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/archive/2013/06/03/News+%28news%29/10458511.Crash_leaves_cyclist_with_serious_head_injury_and_fractured_shoulder/

  • Sounds bad, but check out the comment below it. Don't know what to believe now?

    Andy West says...

                    This isn't strictly what happened.

The driver and passengers remained at the scene, assisting the police throughout, and it was one of the passengers who called for the emergency services.

A young male first-aider initially attended to the cyclist with the assistance of a passing motorcyclist until a paramedic arrived, closely followed by an ambulance crew, and the police.

The road was closed whilst traffic officers surveyed and investigated the scene, then checked the vehicle involved.

It appeared that the cyclist was struck by the nearside front bumper, and impacted against the upper nearside of the windscreen, front pillar and wing mirror
