Oh I didn't realise that was verboten, doesn't say on the FAQ page on the HH website. Anyway the tubs have been rock solid on the rim since inception.

Using taped tubs at HH naughty naughty.
Not a good idea in a proper velodrome, but can't see it being too much of a problem on a flattish outdoor track.
I was looking at getting some of these rims, but not keen on forking out over £300 sheets for wheels that have gone out of true and have been used on the road :(

off topic question but what are those bars on your samson?

Look like B125s

Back on topic, nice wheels, wish I could justify. GLWS -

They are very slightly out of true so could probably be sorted out in 5 min by someone who knew what they were doing. Just wanted to be completely up front!
They have been used on the road between Balham and Herne Hill - 3.5 miles back and forth a few times, can't argue with that.Correct on the guesses for the bars - B125s.

Will include my box of Miyata rim tape (£25 value) in the sale:
Still good to do another 8 wheels if you want to change tires for any reason. If you have any doubts about using tape rather than glue have a read of this:

OK thanks, I did notice you had mentioned that in the original post once I had hit post. Right also it looks as though we need to wait 24 hours. Guess I just miss out if you happen to sell before hand.

NJS wheelset (Dura-Ace / Araya / Hoshi / Soyo) -
£330£300The hubset and tyres I bought brand new from tracksupermarket.com last August and have only been used for half a dozen sessions at Herne Hill. All threads and bearings are perfect. I bought the rims and spokes through the forum at the same time, and they're in great condition. Could do with a minor retrue though.
The wheels come in 500g lighter than my 32h Phil/Mavic Open Pro clincher wheelset so are seriously snappy, however I now want the flexibility of a braking surface which these rims obviously don't provide.
The Soyo green tub has a street type tread and is used by all the Keirin school/pro Keirin riders for road training, they are suitable for street use and wet weather.
In action at Herne Hill:
