I'm stuck in the mid-Nineties with 8 speed, but I've read that around 2001 Campag changed the amount of cable that the shifters pull, perhaps this is to do with the change of angles.
Aside from not mixing pre- and post-2001 (if that is the date) components, then mixing parts from one group with another isn't a problem.

Looking at the 2001 catalogue, it seems the change only affected the compatibility of 9 speed components.
When 10 speed was introduced in 2001, the Ergos and rear derailleurs were remodelled; 9 speed groups got the same makeover which made them incompatible with 1997-2000 9 speed set-ups.
So if you're just looking at 10 speed: no problem as they all had the re-design from the off. Campag catalogues available here.

Thanks a lot for your help, much appreciated!
Hi, I'm sure that this is really simple, but Google isn't really coming up with the definite answers I want before I fork out on new components...
Can I interchange modern campy stuff? For example, will a 10 speed Chorus front/rear mech work fine with 10 speed Centaur shifters, and vice versa? Would 10 speed Xenons work with 10 speed Centaur mechs?
I can't see any reason why not, but looking on google, mech angles were changed in 2001, making compatibility more difficult. Just want to check there have been no other changes recently...
Cheers
