For Sale: Gitane 531 track frame 52cm.

Sad day today, I really like this frame, but I just need the money more right now! Got it from Rogan on the forum not long ago, rode it for a few weeks but its just to small for what i want.

-52cm ctt-ctc.
-Reynolds 531.
-25c will fit fine, a bit tight though.
-french threaded BB and Headset, which could use a bit of a clean and -grease, i would but i ran out, also have a 103mm and 107mm spindle for the BB.
-26.4mm seat post i believe, seat post comes with it.

Frame is in pretty good shape, don't think there's any major scratches, no dents or signs of damage.

I remember i paid £250 posted for it with some other forks, but i'll drop the price to £200 with postage as i want to get it sold quick, if your interested in the other forks which are drilled for brakes let me know.

Ah that's cool, I'm in and out of the country at the mo anyhow so just wondered... Def interested though as I have a '90s gitane road bike and yours looks like it would be awesome for a bit of track action in London (excited for when the pringle re-opens!). I would most likely be looking for the chrome forks as well... Is there any rust and/or other damage you can show... seems pretty tidy from the photos... Also, can't seem to find much info on reynolds tubing Gitane track bikes on the web... any idea of the model?

No idea of the history really, its in great condition though barely a mark on it, I was very pleased with that when i got it. Would be happy to keep it if i had the money and room, probably be asking to buy it back in a few months!

Its from the 80s, made of french 531. It was in wrapping for 30 years unused untouched until I bought it last year

Its a 30 year old bike but technically only 6 months or so old ;)
