Always thought these were the most beautiful of the cottered cranks. I am guessing this is probably late 40s or an early 50s version. They get uglier and less slender later! And I think the earlier models are marked 'DURAX COURSE', but could be wrong.

    170mm
French threaded, I was going to retap but figure it's better to leave that up to anyone interested.
Perfect chrome. Have been rechromed but very good job. The lovely 'bayonet' flutes on the edges of the arms have not lost any definition and the 'DURAX' engraved logos are still clear. Beautifully slender and very lightweight.
I do have a chainring I can include free of charge but it needs rechromed. Otherwise, Hilary Stone has a selection of suitable rings.

Will add photo of ring once I dig it out.

  • Price drop... £70 + recorded postage.
Puts it under £80 all in. Still trying to hunt out chainring. Photos as soon as I locate it.

  • Price Drop to £66.00 + post.

  • Last price drop before surrendering to Ebay... £60 +post.

  • Ok. Here's the ring, came spare with another set of 165mm Durax cranks I got. Included free of charge if wanted, plus I should have suitable new chromed bolts. Just need to double check size.

Ring is... 46t, 1/8th. Definitely some life left, but aesthetically challenged! Should be good with a rechrome.
