have you checked to see if the trains are going to be shit?
-
• #4
trains appear to be regular on monday
-
• #5
I might come if no one signs up and we go fast
-
• #6
Top route that - I'd be joining you, were it not for the fact that I'll still be on the Isle of Wight with Mrs Ludd and Luddlet #2 and our three bikes, eating ice creams on the beach after Sunday's IoW Randonnee.
Don't forget that the folk at the Furneux Pelham pub were shutting up shop when we were there in November - might be worth contacting the pub to see if it will be open if you were thinking of breaking the journey there.

Cambridge/King’s Lynn route:
From approximately 07.00 until approximately 00.30 Tuesday, up to 3 trains will operate per hour between London King’s Cross and Cambridge with 1 train per hour extending to/from King’s Lynn.sounds ok?

Any idea of what time you might make it to cambridge? Meant to be heading back to shropshire on monday.
-
• #12
not sure if I can be bothered to make the ride but someone text/instagram me if you go for beers in Cambridge when you arrive
-
• #13
Potentially in. Although I am horribly poor...how much is train back?
-
• #14
I can't make it but I hope you all have a blast.
-
• #15
Will see how it goes on track tomorrow. Also tempted to ride road bike for a change.
-
• #16
Really tempted by this. No hills you say? This would be my first proper ride out but hesitant..

nice route.
on dad duties.
enjoy.

This route is amazing, I did it today. There was a freak hailstorm and I had to dive into a ditch but other than that it was great and super flat. Would recommend, etc.
I can't come on Monday as I'm moving house :( :( (sadface about no riding, I'm very happy to be moving...)

£5 says he doesn't make it, £2 says if he does, it'll be on gears.

I was always planning on being on gears. Brakeless with risers and 66gi doesn't really lend itself for going in a straight line for longer than 5 minutes.

Tthe epitomy of HHSB, srsly.

I did that, admittedly with pursuit bars but I rode on the tops for most of the time.

^^Pff man up sumo, Ive done over 100k brakless with risers.
Not coming along tomorrow though so wont be able to prove my point ;p
Bit of a last minute one, but the weather is going to awesome.
Despite us fixie skiddas hating hills, we always without fail go to Brighton and walk up ditchling (ironically). Let's accept out laziness and choose the flattest route possible and hopefully barspin the whole way there.
Preference is to fixed/singlespeed only, but i won't turn away someone on gears.
This will be a social ride/social pace. I probably be studiously ignoring this advice http://www.lfgss.com/thread105948.html
Meeting point, brick lane polo courts at 9am for a prompt 9.30 depature. There will be a pub stop half way, but will be a pint and chips affair rather than a 3 course meal.
